Welcome from Miss Anna Priestley (Headteacher)
Welcome to the Bangor Independent Christian School homepage.
Our school opened in September 1985 on the Clandeboye Road in Bangor adjacent to the Free Presbyterian Church. Ours is one of seven such schools in Northern Ireland and was opened as a result of growing concern among Christian parents over the increasing influence of evolution, ecumenism and humanism in State Education.
Our school is a privately-run establishment and does not receive government funding of any kind. Finance is raised for the school by fees paid by parents, covenant support, gifts and fund-raising events. Christian Education encompasses all curriculum areas. Students explore God’s creation in ways that acknowledge Christ as central to life and learning.
During students’ formative schooling years, Christian education seeks to develop their understanding, values and attitudes from a Biblical perspective. We cater from Pre-School (Sunbeams) right through to GCSE level. Please take a few moments to view our Primary and High school sections.
If you are interested in the work of Christian Education then I would like to hear from you. A prospectus is available and you are welcome to view our purpose built school. Please do not hesitate to telephone and make an appointment with myself.
